Laboratory has supplemented its technological equipment with the immunohistochemistry automatic staining machine BenchMark ULTRA (Ventana). This platform performs automated staining of immunohistochemical tissue material for consistent high quality results. Because modern oncology is based on accurate diagnosis, immunohistochemistry plays an important role in the diagnosis of which cells and tissues the tumor is made from and the prognostic characteristics of the tumor.

Laboratory has supplemented its technical equipment with a microscope equipped with a camera.

Often, at the place where histological material is taken, doctors face the problem that there are no containers to put in the collected material. The containers used are not always suitable for bringing histological material to the laboratory. Glass containers can break, poorly sealed containers spill formalin and damage material. AHL offers its clients special containers for insertion of histological material.

As of November 12, 2012, the laboratory is providing its services in new spacious, appropriately adapted premises at Ilukstes street 45, Riga.
